Mr. Staab has over 25 years' experience as a litigator in state and federal courts, a transactional attorney and as a business advisor.

He has worked on complex civil litigation and regulatory matters, and has obtained numerous successful results in securities law and other arbitrations, personal injury and medical malpractice litigation, non-felony criminal matters, and real estate, construction, employment, domestic relations (divorce, property settlements and child support), and corporate disputes, often fashioning creative in and out of court settlements.

Before moving his practice to White Plains in 2003, Mr. Staab worked at Sage Gray Todd & Simms, Hughes Hubbard & Reed and Morgan Lewis & Bockius in Manhattan.

Mr. Staab represented The Trump Organization in federal litigation against Hilton Hotels Corporation involving the purchase and construction of Trump’s Castle Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and was an integral member of a team of lawyers on both coasts representing Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith in the In re Orange County securities litigation and related bankruptcy proceedings. He represented a major broker-dealer in the Askin Securities Litigation in a federal court case involving claims of mis-priced mortgage-backed securities and related derivatives and in an ensuing adversary proceeding in the Bankruptcy Court of the Southern District of New York. He recently successfully represented a prominent hedge fund in an ERISA fraud action involving the partners’ retirement funds.

Mr. Staab is a former National Association of Securities Dealers ("NASD") and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority ("FINRA") arbitrator.

Mr. Staab obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from Rutgers School of Law, Newark in 1984 where he was a Law Review editor. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University at Albany where he was an English major and Art minor. Mr. Staab is a graduate of the prestigious Regis High School in New York City.

He is an avid sea kayaker, golfer, runner and hiker.

Mr. Staab is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
